Shell Tools V1.0.1 - free shell extensions and utilities from MoonSoftware

During my browsing internet , i found a useful program and to be more indicate it’s a sample tool which had a big help features which it’s save your time , especially if you work too much on computers like me

“Shell Tools” from it’s name you can draw that this tool works to add some new features to your system which help you to customize your option to make your work more quickly… more accuracy… more easily , for more indicate about this tool i can say that this tool contain a collection of free windows shell extensions and utilities

Let me mention some features from this useful tool :

* First thing i noticed in this tool that it’s so small .. just 600 Kb from your hard disk , so it’s very light on your system.

* This tool contains shell extensions such as FontLoader, FileNote, RegisterEx, CopyURL and other modules i will mention in the rest of topic in details .

* You can easily allow or disallow any feature from control of shell tool from start menu.

Now i will explain some extensions in shell tools and their jobs with screenshots :

After you download and install Shell Tools you will not see any new features in your system , because you had to enable these features from control of ShellTools , and the steps to do this …
Press at start menu button >>> select All programs >>> you will see new folder named “Moon Software” >>> you will see two options on this folder “fresh icons”& “shell tools” >>> press on “shell tools” option

After select “Shell Tool” option , this menu will appear

Double click on every extensions each one separately and enable features that you like to and press Apply.

First feature you will see , it’s (Any File) ,when you enabled this module and press right click on any file or any photo you will see these additions options in right click list :

# Copy Filename : Copy filenames of called items to the clipboard.

# Filenote : Allows you to add comments to files by creating text file that has the same name as selected file and opening it for editing in text editor or notepad and if text file already exists, it will be opened for editing.

Second feature you will see , it’s “FolderBackground” ,when you enabled this extension and press right click on any drive background or any folder background ( but you should hide something in that drive or in that folder) , you will see this new command:

as you see , “Show Hidden Files” command will appear after you press right click on background on any drives or folders which contains anything hidden , with this add you don’t have to go for folder options and drowning in a lot of settings . just press on “show hidden files” command and hidden files will appear , and another press on “show hidden files” command … hidden files will disappear again.

Third feature you will see in control panel of shell tools, it’s “UrlFile (copy url)” ,when you enabled this module you will allow to copy different information from one or more selected favorites items (internet shortcuts) to the clipboard, and you can customize commands to make up your own copy strings from control panel of shell tools. and this is screenshot for commands that will appear when you enable “UrlFile (copy url)” module :

Fourth feature you will see in control panel of shell tools, it’s “FontFile (FontLoader)” ,when you enabled this module you will allow to Load/Unload/Install/Uninstall font files easily , After enabling FontLoader modules these new commands will appear to context menu when you press right click on any font files. screenshot for an example :

Fifth feature you will see in control panel of shell tools, it’s “RegisterServer” , After enabling this modules anew commands will appear when you press right click on DLL OCX and EXE files (that export DllLoadLibrary and DllUnloadLibrary functions), and this is screenshot for commands that will appear :

A Final feature in ShellTools, an extra tool come with ShellTools modules ,

If you remember the first screenshot when we tray to open ShellTools control panel from start menu button you see that there is two option “Shell Tools” and “Fresh Icons” , i had explain in details “Shell Tools” control panel ,but the extra tool we talk about it now “Fresh Icons” , this tool force Windows to rebuild icons, it’s useful when you see wrong icons displayed for your files/shortcuts.
