Free Download Manager or ” FDM ”

Really one of the best open source download manager right now.
what i can say about it ….. from the first edition of this program i was use it , it was very simple and very powerful compare with others download managers in his age , the program had many advantages and it’s really had a good speed in downloading specially in the newer versions

In the next lines , i will try to show up some of it’s Features :

1- It’s a free open source programing and released under GNU Public License.

2- It had the ability to download files using BitTorrent protocol (available in Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista).

3- You can upload your files or folders easily to share them with other users.

4- One of it’s wonderful advantages it’s support downloading video from video sites, such as Youtube, Google Video, etc.

5- And now if you want to use Free Download Manager on different computers, you can easily create its portable version and avoid the need to install and configure the program on each computer.

6- One of it’s most wonderful and crazy advantages that i hadn’t seen it before in other download managers that FDM can preview audio/video files before download is completed and convert file format after download .

7- And fas i said before that FDM had a wonderful speed in downloading because FDM splits files into several sections and downloads them simultaneously, allowing you to use any type of connection at the maximum available speed. With FDM download speed increases, or even more! .

8- When the downloading process is interrupted, you needn’t start from the beginning again. FDM can resume broken download from where it was interrupted saving your time, nerves and money.

9- FDM can easily organize downloaded files by their type, placing them in predefined folders.

10- And a smart scheduler allows you to start and pause downloading files, as well as perform other actions.

11- With FDM now no way to hang the connection with the browser , now you can browse the internet and download in the same time because one of Free Download Manager advantage that there are several traffic usage modes. you can easily adjust traffic usage.

12- Another wonderful advantage in FDM “Site Explorer”, Now you can view the folders structure of a web site and easily download necessary files or folders.

13- One of another crazy advantage that you can download whole web pages or even whole web sites with HTML Spider. The tool can be adjusted to download files with specified extensions only.

14- A very helpful tool in download manager that you can’t wait to use it , and ofcourse i never seen it before in any download managers , FDM lets you download only the necessary part of a zip file .

15- One of the most impressive tool in FDM that you can read what other community members say about the file you are going to download, right in the program window, and also leave your own opinion about the file you downloaded. In this way FDM users are always warned against useless or malicious files.

16- And the last Feature in FDM that it’s support multi language.
