Dmoz is an open directory project , For webmasters dmoz known as the first human-edited directory in the web , It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors , “dmoz” come from “directory.mozilla.org” and that was its original domain , dmoz is a multilingual open content directory of World Wide Web links and it’s owned by Netscape

Chefmoz working by volunteer editors too, who scour the web to collect restaurant information, in the same time you can write your reviews from the public thats mean it is not necessary to be volunteer editor to write reviews.

Open Site Encyclopedia Project aims to be the most comprehensive, informational, volunteer-powered web-site on the Internet. Different between “Open Site” and “Wikipedia”
Unlike other online encyclopedias, Open-Site is not openly editable to the public. By contrast, editors must first apply to edit by completing a simple application. Once accepted, editors may then freely edit anywhere within the project, however their edits still need to be reviewed by a senior editor before they are published to the public site. editorial model is in place not only as a safeguard against abuse, but it also serves to ensure the reader gets the most accurate information possible.
Open-Site is far different that other online encyclopedias–beginning with the software. Open-Site runs on “Open-Site Code 2.0″, which basically is a CMS (content management system). software is not a wiki; rather, it uses its own simple style for easy creation of articles and sections. and because it is not running on wiki software, articles can easily be parsed and spooled to PDF, RDF, XML, and HTML.
Open Site encyclopedia also uses a categorical layout for the organization of articles. Unlike other online encyclopedias Open-Site has each article classified under a definitive category, which allows the encyclopedia to be browsed easily and in a sane manor.
